Why do people say that business is personal?

Time to become "The Fun Guy"

Dear Owners,

Do you want more out of your networking?

So many people spend so much time and money at networking events,

But don’t know the strategy on how to actually bear fruit from the seeds you are planting.

I have spent probably over 20k on going to different events around the world in the last 2 years and I have learned a lot of things the hard way.

So I know if you listen to me, you will be able to learn from my mistakes,

And my mastery.

Networking is something I am passionate about.

Its just so fun.

Knowing that there are other like minded people out there that have the solutions to your problem is one thing.

Pair that with knowing that you also have solutions to their challenges and that they are going places to also meet people like you….

Now that’s powerful (and fun)

We are going to cover some basic tactics for networking like a pro.

Today’s Focus: Business Is Personal.

Do this when your networking:

If someone starts to talk about their product or service:

Don't take it as they are trying to sell you.

If you act like a customer,

That's about as far as the relationship will go with them.

The Golden Ratio is this:

85% Asking Personal Questions (get them to talk)

15% Business Related Talk (closing the deal)

Prompt them with questions that get them to tell their story.

Have they found purpose in life?

What lights their soul on fire?
What makes them curios?
Where they were raised?
Do they have any kids?

When you ask these questions to people on a regular basis, this is when you hear:

"I cant believe Im telling you this after just meeting"
"Normally I don't tell people this"
"Don't tell anyone this but_____"

Your goal is to build strong, close personal relationships with people that are like minded, and that align with the path your pursuing.

You can't do that if your talking about their job or their business the whole time.

Or even worse, talking about:

YOUR BUSINESS OR JOB.

Here's the key:

When they do ask what you do,

You say something like:

"Oh that's a whole other conversation, i'd love to hear your story as well.

Let's get something on the books so we can talk and have some fun"

Emphasis on: "talk and have some fun"

If people in your network see you as the guy or girl that makes things fun,

You will always be given opportunity
You will always be invited.
People talk about you.

If your thinking that business and personal relationships are separate,

THINK AGAIN

Business is personal. Period.

The more you treat your business relationships like they are your friends that you LOVE;

It makes you stand out.

Everyone is so dry with their relationship building.

-Be generous and give things without expecting return.
-Share opportunities like they are just falling from the sky.
-Call people and make them feel cared about.

You will start winning a lot more because people will want you to win with them.

If you use these tactics in your daily life, please feel free to email me back and tell me how it went!

Much love, Bandrew Golden
