Developing a DO IT NOW Mindset

Dear Owners,

How many times per day do you remember something you want to get done?

How many times do you think about something you can do that would take 1-5 minutes to do?

Okay, Now how many times do you say “i’ll do it later” when that happens?

How many of those ideas or tasks get absolutely blown away by the wind of everyday life?

I would gamble that its almost every single one.

Trust me, I have been there.

One of the most paramount attributes of leaders and highly successful people is having a DO IT NOW mindset.

Not putting things off, resisting the desire to procrastinate, and writing down ideas down immediately after having them leads to a life that has so much more forward motion involved on a regular basis.

This is what we will be talking about today.

Today’s Focus: Developing a DO IT NOW Mindset.

Its true, we live in a world full of distractions and endless forms of stimulation.

Living in a world like this can make it extremely easy to justify putting off tasks of medium importance to the side in an effort to conserve energy.

After all, humans are not designed for success, We are designed to survive.

This is not optimal in today’s day and age simply because we don’t need to TRY so hard to survive like our ancestors did for thousands of years.

I have studied traits of successful people for almost 4 years now and one of the most paramount thing that successful people do is they DO THINGS RIGHT NOW.

They don’t wait, they just get it done when they think of it.

Whether the action they take is writing down the task in a place where they know it will stay relevant for them later,

Or if they really just drop what they were doing before and just bang it out real quick.

They are setting a momentum of action taking.

This is a KEY to success.

When I started doing things within 1-5 minutes of when I thought about doing them (even if its just writing it down), things started happening at a rapid rate and now I always feel like I am moving forward towards my goals.

Often times those small things, are actually the most important things for you to do, Not the busy work you create for yourself when you are sitting down to plan your day.

Those small actions, lead to exponential growth in the progress of your goals.

C’mon, you know this.

Im really not sharing anything new here.

Now lets think about the opposite of this.

When you wait to do things, or try to “remember it for later”

Let’s say you remember that you need to call a friend and ask him how to move forward on an opportunity he offered to you.

You think of it.

You say “oh yeah that would make me tons of money, Ill call him later”

You go about your day, do evvverrryyythinggggg else you need to do, EXCEPT FOR CALL YOUR FRIEND.

At this point you have completely forgotten that you need to call him and you friend is probably too busy helping other people with the same opportunity and only wants to help people who are serious.

You then remember to call him 2 days later.

You find out it’s too late to take advantage of the opportunity, and once again, success has slipped through your fingers, all because you decided to put it off.

Sound Familiar?

Throughout your day, I would bet that you have many moments where you remember you needed to do something similar to this.

Or you think of a new thing you can do that would make things easier for you.

Sometimes we get cognitions of the “Lowest hanging fruit” tasks.

“Lowest hanging fruit” is a task that you can do that is the next right thing you can do that is the lowest amount of effort and the highest return.

My question to you is: How long do you wait before taking action on these tasks?

Well, let’s dive into this because it really depends on how long it will take to finish the task and the level of priority it is regardless of how long it will take.

Some things just should not wait to get done.

If it’s something that can get done within 1-5 minutes and your not particularly focused on anything super time sensitive, You should do that NOW.

Just get it done, it will feel really good.

You will set positive momentum forward right from the jump.

If its a task that would take longer than 5 minutes or your really focused on something, You should write that down somewhere where you know it will stay relevant, and then either do it later that day, or plan on doing it tomorrow.

When you DO THINGS NOW the entire universe wakes up and says:

“Oh damn he really means business!”

It will work in your favor and literally start lining things up for you that make it easier to be, do, and have anything you want.

When you take action on something within the first 24-48 hours it energetically has more power behind it.

If you wait past that 48 hour mark, the energy is gone.

It’s much harder to get yourself to want to do it after that point, and it will be much harder for the universe to take it seriously and start putting everything into motion for you.

That’s honestly how you should see this; if you think of something you need to do, you should want to do it now because you know that if you DONT WAIT AND YOU DO IT NOW you will have the universal forces of life working in your favor at an extremely strong rate!

The universal wind of success will be blowing at your back and people, situations, and conditions that make getting your goals almost effortless will start coming at you from all directions.

Always remember, When you have a new idea for a task or project,

Say out loud or in your head:

DO IT NOW.

It will make it an empowering experience.
